REFLECTION FOR THE COURSE

Hydrology is a core subject obligatory for all undergrad Civil Engineering understudies. On account of Dr Raza, Hydrology classes were rarely exhausted and dull. For as far back as scarcely any weeks, we have learnt 7 topics, which comprise of Water Cycle, Precipitation, Losses from Precipitation, Streamflow and Runoff and Hydro graphs, Flood and Flood routing. All of these are the detailed studies of the movement of water which is crucial for Civil Engineers as far as structure design is concerned. Besides, we have also learnt the ways to measure rainfall in the catchment area with a few methods which I feel is paramount for the understanding of water budget in a certain area. Nevertheless, I look forward to gain more knowledge from the upcoming Hydrology classes.

REFLECTION FOR THE BOARD GAME

After a few conversations with my group mates, in the end we thought of a game called 'HydroPoly'. The idea of HydroPoly is like the game 'Monopoly', what varies them each other is the fuse of Hydrology components into the game. With HydroPoly, learning is considerably more intriguing and it makes a solid challenge among the gathering. It was monotonous to build up the game first and foremost, yet we were cheerful and anxious to learn. In the end, we figured out how to pull it off and thought of the table game. After a few trials, we concluded that HydroPoly makes learning feel more effortless.

REFLECTION FOR MINI PROJECT

The mini project required all members to brainstorm and come up with a new proposed technology related to Hydrology. The process included literature review and preparation of concept maps. The mini project taught us on how to be creative and how to think outside the box. By doing this activity, I personally can think and have a good vision on what should we as Civil Engineer in order to sustain a good supply and to solve any problem that need us to helps other.
